General

The County Council of Värmland registers and handles personal data that is collected when you use and play Rock the Mouth. Personal data is handled in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (European Parliament and Council Regulation (EU) no. 2016/679, GDPR). ‘Personal data’ includes information that can be directly or indirectly linked to a person. The County Council of Värmland is the personal data controller and is responsible for the handling of your personal data.

Legal grounds for handling personal data

The legal grounds for the collection and handling of your personal data are based on the General Data Protection Regulation regarding compliance with agreements, consent and legal and regulatory requirements.

Purposes of the personal data handling

The collection of personal data, how you use the app and the game Rock the Mouth, will be used to provide the best possible in-game experience and as a basis for the Swedish Dental Service to further develop the game and analyse behaviours and behavioural changes that can have a positive impact on children’s dental health.

Your personal data may also be used in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, e.g. regarding security. Personal data may also need to be handled for contact and support matters via the app, e.g. to record questions and complaints (support@rockamunnen.se)

We will ask you for your year, month and date of birth the first time you start the app. You can change your settings for how you share your data and personal information at any time. If you decide that you no longer want to share data we will cease to record you usage.

Storage of personal data & information

The personal data we store includes:

  • Date of birth
  • IP address

These are never combined to analyse the information but used separately to analyse the geographical distribution and age breakdown of the national player base.

We only store personal information and data as long as they are required for the purpose stated above (they are automatically deleted after 14 months).

We never store your personal information beyond the time permitted by the applicable laws, regulation, practice or government decision.

Who may handle your personal data?

Your personal data will be handled by the County Council of Värmland, certain parts by Sticky Beat, which has developed the game, and the communications firm Bulldozer.

Consent

By actively agreeing to sharing data in the Rock the Mouth app you consent to the collection and use of your personal data in accordance with the conditions of this agreement.

Your rights

We are required to complete, block or correct inaccurate personal data at your request.

If you have given your consent to the use of your personal data, you also have the right to withdraw it. If you wish to withdraw your consent, object to the way in which we use your personal data or believe that the handling of your personal data is unnecessary for the stated purposes, you can request deletion or restriction of the use of your personal data or raise an objection to our handling of your personal data at landstingsarkivet@liv.se

Upon your signed written request, we are required to inform you free of charge whether the personal data relating to you is used. If your personal data is being used, then we are also required to provide written details of which personal data that relates to you is being used, from where this data has been collected, the purposes of its use and to which recipients or categories of recipients the data has been provided. This information is stored in a so-called register extract. Send your written request to:

In the case of unfounded or unreasonable requests, we maintain the right to charge a reasonable fee to cover the administrative costs of supplying the requested information or taking any requested action, or to refuse the request.

Under certain circumstances you have the right to obtain personal data relating to you that you have provided to us in a structured, generally used and machine-readable format and have the right to transfer this data to another personal data controller.
If you have any complaints regarding our use of your personal data, you have the right to direct a complaint to the Swedish Data Protection Authority or another authorised supervisory authority that oversees commercial use of personal data.
